Kill or Cure

The 16th day of Nightal in the Year of the Ruins Reborn.
Thank Pelor for His good grace and guiding arm – Robin’s wound has healed and he is well on his way to recovery. For a couple of days we were very worried that Robin wouldn’t make it at all!
While Gilmorril and Rindall were away searching for herbs, roots, and medicines, Robin gradually succumbed to a heavy fever despite the attentions of the initiates and even His Radiant Servant himself. He was hot one moment, and freezing cold the next, constantly sweating and tossing and turning. Incoherent mumblings and even screams in the night were heard – some of the initiates even said at one point he was speaking in tongues.
His condition gradually worsened over the last few days and Gilmorril’s absence worried us all. However, the elf returned during the night, both himself and Rindall carrying huge sacks full of various plants and roots. Many of these His Radiant Servant inspected closely and started to prepare various vials and beaker to boil them in.
Robin was brought to His Radiant Servant’s personal chambers and we were all ushered out whilst a ritual was perfomed.
After an hour or so, with many of us worrying outside the doors, His Radiant Servant emerged, looking slightly dishevelled, but clearly pleased with his work. He declared that the worst of the fever was over and that the disease was cured.
Robin was moved back to a comfortable bed and his rapid return to health has been astounding. The wound appears to have fully healed already, and the fever has passed. With some good rest, he will be as good as new!
Many of the plants and herbs that Gilmorril found have been planted around the plaza in town, and will be well cared for by the townsfolk. Hopefully we shall not have the need for them again, but it is better to err on the side of caution.
