Combat
Brünhilde Stonehearth

As Brünhilde arrived at the third floor, where the ballista had been, she started to slow, moving in to the arrow slit and resting for a moment on the ledge where she could see inside.

There was movement and noise, lots of it. There were half a dozen, at least, bodies in there. Probably orcs at her best guess. They seemed to be getting armed and armoured, and moving the ballista about. The chamber that she could see was only twenty feet or so deep and maybe fifty feet wide, with sturdy stone walls and a wooden floor. In the wall opposite her was a simple wooden door, and she thought she could make out a large metal door to her right.

Getting to a corner looked like a good plan.

She followed the line of the arrow slit and then up the inside of the wall before heading towards the northeasterly corner, hoping the orcs would just ignore her small lizard form.

The orcs were bustling below her — the ones now behind the ballista admonishing the others, trying to get them to be quiet. Their concentration appeared to be on the southern door.

Combat
Orcs

Below Brünhilde the orcs started to settle down into their positions. Their hubbub quietened and the only noise was the creatures' breathing, the occasional clank of metal as they adjusted their stance, and a groan of the ballista's taught strings.

All their focus was on the door to the south.
