The Storyline of the Blackengorge World
The story of Blackengorge and the characters within are divided into books, chapters and scenes to allow easy access to the story for players and viewers alike. Scenes are the here and now, a particular area or a combat that is happening and are usually comprised of fifty to a hundred posts or so. Chapters string a number of scenes together in a theme, a quest, or a particular journey. Books split the overarching story into larger themes.
Scenes and Chapters have names. Maybe the books have too, just the players do not know what the first book is called. Yet!
Book #01: Title TBC
Our characters journey from The Islands to the fabled Old Continent and the frontier town of Blackengorge, not long established on the western coast. Strange crypts, towers and magics await them there and in their travels they defeat a crazed priest and meet some natives of the land.
With news of a small civilisation in the Nentir Vale to the east they set off with a cart of supplies. Their journey to the mountains and the towns beyond are harried, though, by strange black creatures and the news that the crazed priest may still be alive.
They must divert, however, on their path to the Vale to avoid the priest's bands of orcs and head to a pass at the northern end of the mountains.
